Litteraturhuset i Skien (Skien Literature House) wanted an outstanding visual identity, with clear references to the world of literature.

LOGO WITH CUT-UP-TECHNIQUE

LOGO WITH CUT-UP-TECHNIQUE

This literary technique is the trademark of the beat poet William S. Burrough. It consisted of a written text being cut and moved on to create a new text. The classic text layout was challenged both in Skien Literature House's new logo and in the way the profile is used on different communication surfaces. The system is flexible and creates a clear identity - even without the logo.

Using marbling technique inspired by the book binding art, graphic patterns were created for the profile. The marbling is handmade and digitized.

The new visual identity for Kristiania University College is based on the concept “Transformation”.

Language and its transformation throughout history up until today’s Latin alphabet became the foundation for the visual identity and the start of the transformation into a unique written language for Kristiania University College, Kristiansk.

 By letting basic shapes create the essence of each letter the school now has its very own “tribal language”. The alphabet balances between typographical forms and graphical patterns.

 It creates a democratic link between students and employee when everyone has their own kristianske name used on ID cards, t-shirts and business cards.

Oslo Kulturnatt - Oslo Culture Night is the largest one-day festival in Norway.

Based on the idea is based on fridge magnets, I developed a flexible design system allowing a lot of information to easily be adapted to different formats and platforms, both print and web.
